Some of the comments at the end of that article were pretty interesting and brought up several more questions I hadn't considered. Are your documents secure? Instead of a comic book script, what if those documents were medical records, sensitive legal documents, or personal financial documents? Must you turn that type of information over to a federal agency to inspect if you wish to have it on your person and decide to fly?

Even more frightening, in my opinion, is the insinuation that this man was perhaps not randomly selected at all. Rather, much more was know about him before he even arrived at the airport.

TSA employee 1 stops you for extrs screening.
You are a employee of company xyz with proprietyary info
TSA employee 1 reads the info and pass it to person x from company abc (your competitor) who knew you would be flying and thus coudl pay to have you stopped?

Hum..

& thus why I won't fly anymore unless I'm forced to by work (only twice since post 9/11). Otherwise I'll drive or take the train/bus.
