![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Evil guns is to blame! Steve McNair's famous face becomes just another victim of American gun culture Could it possibly be that this is what happens if you're living in the fast lane playing around with someone who's not your wife? (Not sure if it's true that he was fooling around, but a news article that I read said he was found dead with a dead female that wasn't his wife.) I'm not saying that it was at all a justified shooting just that if you play with fire you might get burned.

| Professor ![]() | I read an article that said it may be possible that it was murder suicide. Mcnair was shot 4 times, the woman once, and the gun was found under her body. The authorities were investigating to determine if her death was a suicide, and his was officially ruled a homicide.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Lupica is falling in to a classic sports writer trap: pretending to be a "serious journalist." To a hack like Lupica, this means staging a massive public hand-wringing on behalf of a pet liberal-statist issue. Go back to your little boys' games, Mike. This one's over your head.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | OK, I'll try to make it clearer. Lupica is the writer of the linked article. He's a sports writer. He usually writes about how good someone is at hitting a ball with a stick, or how well someone can throw a ball through a hoop. His profession is commenting on games. Now someone who is famous for playing a game has been killed, and suddenly Lupica has pretensions of having intelligent insight into complex grownup issues like the causes of violence and crime. In Lupica's brilliant, deep analysis, Steve McNair was murdered because of mean bad old guns, without which everyone would live in a state of joyous peace, so why don't we just get rid of them? It's not really very insightful; it's childish. Hence, Lupica should go back to writing about games, which he seems to understand, and leave the real adult world to more grownup writers.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | We should ban cars. I bet the shooter drove a car. And if we didnt have cars this would never have happened.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't like how they report on guns in the news. It gets annoying and it is biased in the language used. But, I am glad they are not reporting this as a murder-suicide yet. Women usually don't kill themselves in a violent way and the gun should be in her hand not under her body. |
