THanks. I might try it. but then again I may not. It's only serving as a reminder not to do stupid stuff no more so I may just leave it be. Besides, a pardon won't permanently erase my record anyway so I dunno how much trouble it's worth. But I appreciate the info!

You're welcome! I'm not a lawyer, but actually, I think a pardon DOES permanently erase your record. I know that with a full pardon, you're allowed to say you've never been convicted of the pardoned crime.

Well, when it comes to firearms, my mom's still the poster woman for "guns are dangerous"! She believes that my pistol will go off without one in the chamber... I guess it would be probable.... Maybe...

But yea, I shoulda listened to them a long time ago.

I got some glimmer of hope over the phone today. The NICS sent my officially stamped and signed court records back to the court to be authenticated ???? WTF ????????? This has only taken them 4 months now???? I bet if I owed them money the whole thing would have been over in a week !

From what I found through various sources, shortly before the Heller verdict, there were many denials. You might have gotten caught up in the mix as they do first come first served basis BS.

Now that they have done this, you should expect another week to get all your paperwork sent back to you and then another week or two for them to either confirm or deny you. Sounds like an approval. Did you find out why they denied you?

I have only two communications from them. One issue of the paper work and the info stating they received my paper work. The stuff you posted is worded slightly differently than mine. I'll just wait it out. I guess I have no choice.

This is my thank you to the NICS staff. I doubt they get these very often. Spelling might be incorrect somewhere but the computer at work didn't have spell check and I could save it to the network as they would probably fire me for "wasting ink" or some BS.
