Faith in Jesus used by Leaders?

Not to criticize or bash any faith since I was raised Catholic, became lost, born again and now focus primarily on a personal relationship with God.

I have just began reading a book called The Family THE SECRET FUNDAMENTALISM AT THE HEART OF AMERICAN POWER by Jeff Sharlet

A while back I had a conversation with another INGO member whose oppinions I respect.

I discussed the battle between Christian and Jewish as well as the German party line at the time regarding how the Jewish were scapegoated as the root of all of Germany's problems. I also drew attention to the fact that many of the "Shadow organization Leaders" supported the pseudo science Eugenics which helped facilitate the rationale behind the extermination of people that they deemed inferior, corrupt or not worthy by genetic criteria.

After being misunderstood that I held any type of sympathetic understanding of this agenda, hopefully that was resolved.

I started exploring it deeper.

What I discovered was unsetteling if even a small part of my fears were true.

According to the author of THE FAMILY many of my conclusions were not so far from the mark.

According to the author there exists an organization dedicated to reaching industry and world leaders in the name of Jesus. It has existed in some form since @ 1920's. It's purpose appears to be bringing people of power together in covenant to do the work of Jesus in all aspects of power. It knows no party lines or distinctions between Republic, Democracy or Dictatorship.

However the author contends that, through careful concealment and manipulation they hide in the background offering a Jesus that bears little or no real relation to The Christ I learned about in my 12 years of Catholic education.

The Jesus they share supposedly has no real ties to our loving savior but is manipulated into being an inspiration or direct messenger to these men of power who are truly trying to bring about a King-dom on earth.

The lines between Republic, Socialism and Fascism are immaterial to their agendas and again if the author is to be believed using our faith and fears as a means to establish this brand of their control.

In light of this: I suggest that when a leader or mentor professes a relationship with God, we actually ask them to share their understanding and beliefs further.

The lessons I learned in school, foretold of many false prophets, saviors and those who claimed to know Jesus.

Jesus even spoke on this, saying in the end that many would call him Lord but that he would not recognize them.

Let the only Kingdom we belong to, be the Kingdom of Heaven!

In light of current events and our new "Obama Messiah" with the path this current administration is taking, we must remain vigilant to all directions of attack. Including our faith in God!

A rapid backlash against this current administration could be just as dangerous to our rights and freedoms. Lest we replace them with an even greater evil which we rush and embrace to save us from the current "Messiah".

I am suggesting that we not just vote for 'anyone' but them!

I suggest we actually seek out leaders that actually believe in our freedoms and begin supporting them now, rather than waiting to see which candidates the party thinks/hopes has the 'best chance' to win.

I am worried that my faith in Jesus could be used to control me and my vote.

Does anyone else share this concern?

Yeah... I often wonder which God it is that people proclaim to worship.

Is it the God of the Bible...

Or the god of their on convenience.

while the idea intrigues me, I cry foul. It sounds a lot like the conspiracy that jews are to blame for everything, except now it's the name of Jesus is to blame for everything. As a minister I can you it's very difficult to get people into church let alone keep them in church to think that you could forward some sort of massive successful campaign seems improbable. But it would be an interesting book to read.

So far my understanding isn't that Jesus is to blame but what a select few hidden in plain sight have been manipulating to achieve a "God" based leadership that is to be driven forward over all else. So don't cry foul just yey.

The author intends that most of these leaders in the "family" want nothing to do with church or religion. The core being prayer cells of the sort used long before cells were terrorists.
To achieve power, influence and favor throug association.

Fundamentalism and Christianity aren't the problem any more than the Jews or any other scapegoat.

The problem according to the author is the top family people abusing this under the guise of Jesus.
Gaining everyday peoples obedience and dedication through the trickle down effect. How can it be wrong if it is for "Jesus". Would be the arguement used.

Our founding fathers never intended for us to be ruled by the bible. But deemed our rights to be bestowed upon us by our creator.
Not trying to say all of this is true but at the same time I have seen the power that the corrupt in church power have wielded through centuries past.

If we do not hold a candle to what we are buying then we deserve what we get because of our complacency or duplicity.

God wants us to question him he wants our choices made freely. He loves when we seek him for answers, not just slurping up what is spoon fed to us by our leaders. As a minister I expect that you will welcome and relish the opportunity to help us find the answers instead of parroting what your advisors and teachers shared with you.

An ideological figure used by those in power to coerce the masses? Nothing like that has ever happened in history!

One need only glance at the Middle East to see some evidence of this. It's all too easy to denounce the other religion and its followers. Clearly, religion is of some significant influence to the beliefs and consequent actions of Muslims; not too many on our side would deny that. The very meaning of Islam is 'to submit' - a sacrifice of one's own rational thought process for the word of some "God". To blow yourself up is crazy, but to blow yourself to pieces in the name of Allah, glory and 72 virgins - now that's logical.

Better yet, have a look at wars of the past. How many people have died in the name of some god? How often has the leaders' intent been based purely on religion?

We as Americans are raised in an environment which instills certain virtues - typically through religion. The 'right' of one society is the 'wrong' of another society. Obviously, those of religion tend to be much more rigid in their beliefs in the name of faith and unquestioning.

How many irrational acts have been committed under the pretense of 'righteousness' - and done so with little opposition? If the reasoning sounds virtuous enough, who can argue, right?

Then again, who would willingly admit that they've been manipulated?

Think about this:

How do you now feel when you hear the honored words

"Hope"

"Believe"

Both words can be equated to "Faith".

The past two years of psychological warfare, using words once reserved for a relationship between honest men and their spirit, will have negative ramifications.

As those words are mangled by a corrupt ideaology, what will be the result?
What light will be cast on those that understand the true meaning of those words?

Will "In God We Trust" be replaced with "All Who Enter, All Hope Abandon" ?

This generated hen will come home to roost.
