I am paying too much in taxes as it is!

Hell, I think taxes should be made optional during recessions as stimulus package!

A crisis? We already have a crisis with the Valpo bus system that operates AT A LOSS every year! Why create more public transportation that doesn't make money?

Public Transportation operates at a loss every year no matter what city or country you live in.

I think the problem in Porter County is that they are trying to over develop the area. They want too much rather than enough.

As part of a pipe dream for me, I would love to have a high speed train to ride to Indy from Northern Indiana to attend my medical appointments if it were reasonably priced to do so. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be priced such unless, like others have written here, that the tickets would be heavily subsidized by public monies. That I don't want.

regardless of cost, etc. I would still like to be a 'pensioner' in the UK. They get to ride all the trains for FREE. (I know...free is a bastardized word when used in this context.) But it would be cool to be able to travel with that as a benefit; real or imagined whichever argument you see fit to pull out.
