This reminds me of the "we are all criminals now". You can potentially lose your gun rights by killing a nuisance dog.

In many cases like that, you are probably better off just burying them yourself, somewhere discreet.

Another example of legislators wanting to be able to brag about what they did for society.

Of course it did list exceptions, including property damage, or danger. The real problem would likely be civil prosecution.

I say, if you own the land, its your land. There are laws about animal cruelty and about your animals doing damage to someone else's property. Absolutely no need for yet another law.

Update:

Great... went to introduce myself to our new neighbors with the wife. Guy seemed nice enough. I hadn't seen him leave the house since he moved in. I found out why. Seeing the small dog at the door, my wife spotted an ankle bracelet......
