     | moment of silence is disingenuous by congress Congress' Moment of Silence for Fort Hood Victims - ABC News I don't know about you, but I found the moment of silence that congress held yesterday to be a bit disingenuous. What I mean by that is these are many of the same individuals that had voted to send our troops in harms way in Afghanistan, where many have and will be injured or killed. They certainly don't call for a moment of silence whenever our troops are killed in action, yet somehow choose to showboat yesterday.
