Is there an IDPA match at HCFG this Saturday, Nov 12th?

It is on the calendar for the HCFG web site, but I haven't seen anything else. If it is being held, is it open to the public or just HCFG members? What is the fee to shoot for non-members?

Just curious as I shot my very first IDPA last weekend and would like to shoot at least one more before the weather completely breaks down.

Not sure if the match is on or not, try the email on the hcfg.org site

I went to the match in June before I was a member at HCFG and the cost was $15 cash, not sure if the cost has changed

It was the only IDPA match I have attended and it was a great time

1st Annual IDPA Veteran and Range Officer Appreciation Match hosted by Hamilton County Fish and Game Association.

    Event: Standard IDPA pistol match
Purpose: Say THANKS to all our Veterans and also all those who volunteer running matches of ANY shooting sport (IDPA/USPSA/Steel Challenge)
Location: Hamilton County Fish and Game Association
When: Saturday November 12. Registration 9:00 - 9:30 AM Shooters Meeting 9:45 AM*
Price: FREE to anyone who has served in the US military.
FREE to any area shooting sport Match Director, Range Officer, or Safety Officer who volunteered more than 1 match in 2011.
$15 for anyone not meeting criteria above.
Course: 5-6 stages. Need approx 100-120 rounds

Nov 11 is Veterans Day and we want to thank all those who have served in the US military regardless of the era they served.
Also, as the 2011 shooting season is finishing for many shooters, we would like to say thanks to all the hard working volunteers who allow local Indiana shooting sports exist - Match Directors, Range Officers, Safety Officers.

Standard IPDA pistol match at Hamilton County Fish and Game Association Saturday Nov 12. Range setup begins at 7:30-9:00. Shooter Registration is 9:00-9:30 AM and shooter safety briefing is at 9:45 AM.
New shooters are welcome, but we must have EVERYONE attend the mandatory safety briefing at 9:45 AM. *If you are late, you will not be able to compete (sorry).

We plan to provide a challenging match to push the shooter to engage targets at distance, under time pressure, and we will use some target types some folks may not have shot at before.
The stages will be challenging and fun, but as always safety is our #1 driver.

Please RSVP to carbine.shooters@yahoo.com if you plan to attend so we can staff accordingly.
Weather looks good, but if for any reason we need to cancel the match we will send an email NLT 6:30 AM Saturday morning.

    Thanks!

    Hey HD,
If you want to get yet ONE MORE in yet this year, I will be going to the OXRB shoot on Sunday. I have shot there twice so far. Good guys. It's in Oxford OH., which is the closest range for me. It may be a little further for you but it is their last for the season as well (since it's not "riding weather" anymore! :D)
I am going to see how I perform in "polar weather" at the friday night steel shoot tonite. It will probably give me an idea of how bad I will shoot in the cold in Oxford. (man, I hate that stuff! :):)

    Later,
    Chaz

Hey Chaz - Appreciate the heads up, but I won't be able to make it over on Sunday. I'm hoping to be at HCFG on Saturday, but I'm not even sure about that one. Work is interfering with my plans. I very rarely have to work on weekends (lucky, I know), but this weekend is an exception. Project deadline on Tuesday and we are not done yet. I know for fact I have a meeting on Sunday. I'm still waiting to hear about tomorrow.
