It's looking like the weather will be good to go !!!

I will make the final call on FRIDAY, about 2pm, and I will post that here and on the ACC site.

I'm working on a BUG stage (Back Up Gun) as a free side match. Unless something better pops into my brain, we will shoot a variation of el-prez for one stage of the regular match, then scoot in a few yards and shoot the BUG entries. That part is all well-and-good . . . what I am still working out is the administration part -- to not have that stage hold up the rest of the match.

BUG guns :: .380 or LESS. 16 ounces or LESS in weight. (Yeah, I know you are using a GLOCK 26 as your real-life BUG . . . Not for this side match, though.) KelTec P3AT P32; Ruger LCP's; baby Brownings 25 ACP; Seecamp 25 ACP 32ACP; Colt PocketLite; Beretta Tomcat . . .

This stage will start from low-ready.

    4 strings of 4 hits = 16 round minimum (+ misses...)

IDPA target engagement style. (1-2-1) for 2 targets.

That's all I can think of for now. I may add some info tomorrow.

    So... question.

I was going to ask if you can shoot multiple guns anyway?

But for this stage, you just shoot your BUG in place of your normal gun?

If I'm shooting two, should I bring two BUGs? Awesome!

    Can't wait!

Seems like it's been too long since the state match for a steel fix. Hopefully I can get the new Super-Buckmark dialed in for it's competition debut. :D

You can start by calling it by its proper name... Buck Mark. :D

Mega-Buck Mark will be there as well...

And you may see the first ever Jimenez JA-22 used in competition...

    I'm predicting a lot of tap-rack-bang for Mr. Nit-pick .

How would you like shooters to handle the situation where they either don't have a .380, or they don't have enough mags to complete the course of fire (most of these guns are low capacity and only come with 1-2 mags)? Wasn't sure if they could opt out and it wouldn't affect their score, or if there would be loaner guns available. No big deal either way, just wanted to know how to plan ahead for Saturday.

Everyone in my squad is welcome to borrow the Jamming Jimmy!

Tis true, I only have two mags for the JA-22 and three for the P238, so maybe only two strings before I have to reload.

The BUG stage will be shot during the regular match.

It is completely optional, and will be scored separately as a one-stage “match”.

The normal match will be 4 stages on 4 bays. (I’m thinking bays 1,2,4,5) BUG bay on bay 3. I will start squads on all 5 bays. When a squad works its way to bay 3, whoever wants to shoot the BUG match does. In the time left over, (this stage should run faster than the other four), you can practice or whatever.

Maximum of one BUG entry per paid entry, so I can do scores without having to re-enter all the names.

Most of us will have to top off mags for strings 3 and 4 (I will).

The BUG gun will only be used in bay 3.

Bay 3 will have a separate scoresheet, used by only the people who shoot the BUG stage.

Minimum round count will be 16. If you want to bring extra for ‘non-BUG-owners’ to be able to enter the side-match, that’s fine by me. One entry per paid regular entry . . .

I’m thinking the optimum gamer-gun will be a Beretta tomcat in 22LR. Maybe.

The targets will be the 18x24’s at minimum safe distance (7 yards).

I will be using my KelTec P32. I may drag the Bauer 25 out of the safe. HA !!! Maybe I will shoot two strings with each . . .

What did you end up getting?

I picked up my new production/ESP/steel gun as well. :D

    Check your e-mail.

BTW, that round I took on the top of my head... did draw blood. When I got home there was a bunch of crusty blood up there.

I am so glad I didn't take that one in the face.
