Remington 870, you don't need a O/U to shoot Trap, only for doubles. Once you try Trap and decide it's the game for you than invest in a Quality O/U, there are used ones starting at 1,500.00. The club has a 870 for use, all you need is the shells. Come out shoot a few rounds, take a look at the Trap guns others are shooting, most if not all will let you shoot their guns.

While I'll agree one does not need an O/U to shoot trap, I also watch a lot of new shooters stumble and fumble more loading SA and pump guns on the line than they do with an O/U. If one has to initially acquire a shotgun to shoot trap, IMHO they're better off starting with an O/U.
