Outdoor IDPA at Chesterton Sunday 2-15

The weather forecast is tolerable, so far, so North Porter County Conservation Club in between Chesterton and Valparaiso on Calumet Road (Old SR49) is planning our regular outdoor IDPA match at the winter start time of 10am CENTRAL time, Sunday, February 15th, 2009.
The match directors are the incomparable Doug Blazer and Otis Lawrence so you know it'll be good.
Keep an eye on the website in case the weather caves in after all and we have to pull the plug.

Sorry I missed the match today....I don't know what I caught, but it's kept me down an entire week.

There were 22 competitors on hand, and while a bit on the cold side, all reported having a good time, including the several new-to-IDPA guys.
They all did great and picked up on things very quickly, the other SOs reported.
Otis of course set out four really good stages for a total round count of 76 or so.
We were done by noon, despite the brass monkeys.

Don't worry, Jer, I almost called a procedural on a guy for not Barneying up.

Hey,
I was one of the new-to-IDPA guys, and I had a blast. I have been telling all the gun guys at work about it. It was a good time with a nice bunch of guys. Everybody went out of there way to help us and make us feel welcome. Hopefully I can shoot a little better next time, now I have a better understanding of how things work.
