![]() | blainepoe, you can shoot skeet with your Mossy. Even if you don't have screw-in chokes, if yer gun is choked cylinder or improved cylinder it'll do. I shot many rounds of skeet with an 870 with the 18" slug barrel (smooth bore, choked Improved) and ran plenty of 25's. The farthest target in skeet is only about 22 yds if you let it run out on ya..... |

![]() | Indiana Gun Clubber here... Dad's ol' 870 mostly.... however I did smoke some older fella's back in Ohio at a friday night trap shoot with my great grandpa's model 97 "knuckle buster" when I was 15... haven't shot too many birds since. (Did in florida on spring break a few weeks back) The guy's at Indiana Gun Club are great the shop is nice and if I'm not mistaken you can pick up any gun in the shop that has a certain color tag and use it for the day... am I remembering wrong? It's been awhile. -K |

| BOFH ![]() | I shot Trap, and a shot gun for that matter, for the first time in October, 2007 I haven't been back to the In Gun Club yet, but it's only a mile and a half from my house. Buying shells there, if you've got a shotgun, it's only $5.95 for 25 shells, and another $5 for 25 birds. Not a bad deal at all. I'm looking forward to going more frequently now that it's not stupid cold ![]()

| "Thought I saw a pussy cat..I did..I di.." ![]() | Have a membership to the Gun Club, it is a great place to shoot. Like W9ZEB I am only like a mile and 1/2 from it. You can still go in an "rent" most guns they have there, but they had to add a charge of $5 because someone took one out the door and never returned. Club membership ($50/year) just lowers the rate of clays to $4 per round (25). There are also a couple instructors available upon request to get better at hitting those clays. If you are looking to buy, they have the best selection of used/new shotguns in the state. If you want to go over and try it out sometime, just PM me and we can meet over there and shoot. |

![]() I want to try either skeet or trap, but I don't want to do it alone (i.e. I would like someone that could help me learn to go with me) and every time I have tried the plans have fallen through. If I do, it will probably be at Indiana Gun Club. I haven't shot there, but I did buy my Winchester 94 there and they were super cool and easy to deal with. | |

![]() | Virtus, I might have to take you up on that offer. I live in the Saxony area and am interested into trying some shotgun sports. The military has made me pretty proficient with rifles and I've shot handguns quite a bit the last few years but unfortunately since I stopped hunting at 13 years old I haven't shot a shotgun. |
