I need to work on distance shots and long transitions, but you already know that. Hey, I place 11th, out of 21, in Limited shooting minor at the Atlanta match yesterday. I am getting there! |

Middle of the pack shooting minor is confirmation of improvement without a doubt.

During a league shoot we shoot three USPSA courses of fire twice, and score will be kept. By shooting the stages or courses of fire twice the shooter can try to correct mistakes, or try two different plans at solving the shooting problem, or can even try and push the speed envelope the second time though. I have found this format to be fun and effective in determining what works best. The instruction in the title refers to the coaching or advice given to the shooter based upon what I see them doing right and what I see them doing incorrectly. Often times there are general topics that are discussed and pointed out to a course of fire. I try to provide general rules of thumb on how to approach a stage or a target array. This league is geared toward USPSA type of competition, but also covers grip, trigger control, draws, reloads, movement, shooting on entering and exiting positions, stage breakdown, and any number of things the shooters bring up. We have a couple of first time USPSA competitors coming this time, do you want in? Perhaps some of our regulars will chime in here with how effective ir ineffective it is.

Please make sure I'm on the list for this one Coach! For that matter, on the list for the rest of the season.
