Need some help!

My son-in-law and some other family were shooting last night. While we were all taking our turns, he mentioned to me how much he always enjoyed this, and wanting to get into shooting matches and the like. Here is where I need the help. I have been interested in doing some matches for a while now, but do not know ANYTHING about where, how, or what type of match. Another issue is that he has no firearms, and would be using one of mine, or we may possibly have to share (depending on the type of match, ect). I was thinking of rimfire rifle to start, as I have more than one of those, and the expense would be relativley small for starters. Can anyone here help me with Ideas or information about matches, your personal preferences, and what I would need to be able to compete in that type of match.

I would start with Friday Night Steel, on the westside of Indy, very casual, good group of folks with several different divisions. I believe FNS is every 2nd Friday of the month, might need better authority on that.

Otherwise keep your eye on this INGO page for other events.
