range near Garrett ... ?

looking for a rifle/pistol range near Garrett (prefer outdoors) within frequent driving distance....... 25 miles or so...... any suggestions ?

There is Youngs Long Shot in Wolcottville. I have not shot there yet as it requires a yearly membership.

Also, Mile Corner guns is still at the intersection of 8 and 327. I rode by there less than an hour ago, I waved at the Goldwing folks eating ice cream at the drive-in.....

You have to be sponsored in to the FWRR, come out for a rifle or pistol match and someone will sponsor you, might even be me.

Jay, I just looked at your "toys". You really need to bring the 40X or the 52B or the Anschutz to the twice a month smallbore 50 yard prone matches at the EEL River Gun Club on Byrie road just off of 205. PM me for more info...It is the first and third Sundays though. We shot last Sunday at 1 PM.

Yep, sure is...BUT, it's indoor only and 50ft.

Sorry you can't make the Sunday smallbore matches at EEL River Gun Club. Is either the 40X or 52B for Sale? I sold my CMP 40X to a Marine who moved to Phoenix. I regret it.. Of course you could always loan one or the other to me for extensive range evaluations.

I provided a link to Ft Wayne Rifle and Revolver in the other post. You can shoot there any time there is daylight. Pistol and various rifle matches are held either Saturday or Sunday. The schedule is on their website. For example, this Saturday their is a 80 shot rifle match on Saturday and a 50 shot rifle team match on Sunday. The range is east of Harlan and directions are in the website.

Also, there is the Isaac Walton League between Garrett and Ft Wayne and SW Conservation Club on Bluffton Rd in Ft Wayne. They both offer rifle and pistol ranges outdoor.
