Fenway, would it be possible for a Site Supporter to make a contribution on behalf of another member so that person could also be a Site Supporter? This would be done on behalf of someone who the Site Supporter sees as a particularly valuable contributer to the conversation but who is someone unable to make a financial contribution. Thanks.

Absolutely. In fact, the Site Supporter donation is a suggested minimum. You're free to donate as much as you like and put it in anyone's name you choose. EVERYTHING you donate goes to help support the site.

Thanks Fenway. This site has been more informative and more inspiring than anything else I've seen on the internet. It's amazing what a group of people can do when they come together with a unified interest in something.

another site I visit does this as well, and if someone is particularly annoying, funny or infamous for doing something, a mod will change their title to something less than desirable. Its pretty amusing.

It took me all of five minutes on the site to become a supporter. This site is quite unique. It's local and covers local interests. It is accepting of people at all levels of interest and expertise (thank goodness). The folks are mostly congenial. Flaming is kept to a minimum and is usually meant in good fun. These are people like me. I have to support that.
