People raffle stuff "illegally" all the time and nobody cares, but being a firearm, I imagine any rule breaking would open the doors for all sorts of people to jump on us.

I sure hope you can find someone to do the raffle for you. I would totally be in for that, but I'm not in a position to participate in an auction.

Exactly what organization are the proceeds going to?

Maybe someone here has some ties with the American Legion, that seems right up their alley.
