    survival classes

I was just wondering, are there any good survival classes here in Indiana. Preferably Northern indiana. Just classes that go over basic skills, fires/shelter/plants. That type of thing. Looking for a starting point.

got plenty of books and can hold my own with some basic stuff, but would like some real life experience with someone that knows the ropes. Boy Scout manual is a good reference though. I'll give you that.

The best way to learn is through experience. Get a tent and go camping. After a few times you will learn what really works and what doesn't. And what works for me down south here may not be what you need at all.

Not exactly "up north" but a member named "Go devil", in Fishers , runs a company called Blackthornsix.com . He could hook you up with real life experience .

PM WETSU, he is the survival instructor at Tactical Response. Lives up north here. I took the winter survival class. Good stuff.
