OK... my "pets" as this calls them, are family members, not emergency rations. The neighbor's yappy dog, OTOH....might be emergency rations for my dogs...

My 6 dogs at 100# ea. are tools for my protection. The yappy next door might not go far. The neighbor would go farther.
