I haven't read every response to this thread, or even if I have said this before, in this thread, but assuming the UN was coming in to take away our rights, where are they hiding the millions of troops they would need? Where are these million troops mustered?

Assume the normal count of 80 million firearm owners in the USofA. Now assume that 90% of them are cowards and would roll over to anyone asking them to turn in their firearms. That leaves 10% like me who would say no and back it up. That leaves at least 8 million that would not take it.

Based on the standard that the US soldier has maintained in the past, with a 10 to one kill ratio, it would take a full 80 million troops to disarm the 8 million who would fight for their rights.

Nope, don't think that the UN has enough troops to pull it off.

I agree with most of you on this. The UN could never do it by themselves. But I'm wondering if this combined with the stuff about the NG disarming ppl after Katrina and the soldiers responding "Yes" after being asked "So you would fire on Americans?" and the US military becoming part of the UN forces... I'm just wildly speculating but there are just so many "What Ifs". Man it's sorta scarrey to think about. Worst case scenario though if it were to occur it would probably start on the coast and never make it this far inland!!!! I'm still getting my kit together though just in case.

Dont get hung up on the mention of the U.N. The fact is, Obama wants to disarm you. It begins with his new "Assault Weapons Ban" that bans every gun that can be or has ever been used by a Law Enforcement officer or a soldier. It also bans guns with pistol grips.

Look what happened during Hurricane Katrina. Swat teams stormed innocent peoples homes collecting guns. My advice is to seriously consider finding a place to stash things. A hidden panel in the wall, a loose floorboard, the crawlspace. Just make a mental plan of what you would do... And for God's sake don't line up with the sheep and hand them over when they do get banned.

That's if every firearm owner is able to keep up with "average" U.S. soldier...god bless 'em all.
