O.R.C. (an MSG primary mission idea)

O.R.C. or Organized Rescue Convoy is what I envisioned to be our local MSG's primary mission to be.

Basically the idea boils down to "a bunch of bubba's in pickup trucks" coming to the rescue of a fellow bubba in a time of trouble, the O.R.C. can be deployed in situations such as helping move the posessions/belongings of a fellow MSG'er to save them from being destroyed by rising flood waters or they could be as dangerous as having to fight our way through hordes of hostiles to evacuate a fellow MSG'ers family that is trapped inside of a riot zone.

Details will need to be hammered out, so untether your hammer and start hammering!

We'll need vehicle to vehicle to target communications, we'll need area specific rally points, etc, etc.

hummm what about "Operation Rescue Convoy" instead? I think I like it better.

Well hopefully we'll never have to deploy O.R.C. "for real" but it might be fun running through a few training excersizes.

So Bass what sort of firearm are you planning on using while deployed during an O.R.C. excersize?

I am thinking of just tossing a few 32 round magazines for my Glock 17 & just using it, but I'd still probably want a long gun of some sort in the truck incase we are forced to dismount our vehicles.

I can be a bubba with a pickemup truck. We will need bubba gunners in the truck beds and we can just use CB's. Maybe a couple of scout bubbas on motorcycles, I could do this too, I have been practicing drawing while riding. I would rather have a saw mounted on the handle bars though.

Hey I am getting off work at 12:00 to day thinking about doing a little shooting. I need to bench rest my .45 and zero an AR. Anyway I may go to wilbur wright unless I can find a FCVCC member to take me to the range.
