![]() | The question is, will California be the first domino to fall, starting a fast chain reaction or will its fall just be another bump in the slow road to economic collapse?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | With California supposedly the 8th largest economy in the WORLD, it's downfall would cause fast & serious repercussions. If California does hand out IOUs to state workers, police, firemen, and other empoyees, THAT becomes an Every man for themselves mentality. This economy balances on the HOPE that the money in your pocket has value. When that hope disappears, the collapse starts and just feeds on itself. Alot of old Science Fiction books are about to be moved into the history section of the library. ![]()

![]() | My theory is food riots and all that jazz will only last about 3 weeks. Once easy to grab food, better know as the local McDonalds is gone and clean water has ceased to flow to the "masses" the majority of the rioters will be dead or too weak to fight in about 3 weeks. Hungry mobs turn on themselves fast further decreasing the life cycle of that same mob. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Be more like 3-days. I doubt many people would be hanging around long to wait for assistance if there is a way out. Remember, it took 5-days for the Govt. to get drinking water to the New Orleans Stadium after Katrina. I'll NEVER forget that! Most families don't have more than 3-days of groceries in the cabinets. Not much cash on hand and lots of credit debt. Natural disaster, financial collapse, or what have you, people will be leaving to get out of Dodge. Indiana is still the cross roads of America. We could all wake up in the morning and be overrun with tent cities in our back yard. Prepare today, survive tomorrow.

![]() | Scenario 2: North Korea, funded by Iran, manages to put a small nuke on the tip of a small rocket, like a Scud. They load it onto a container ship and start a world tour. Eventually, they approach the west coast where they launch it into the atmosphere above Los Angeles while in international waters. The EMP blast takes all electronics out between LA and Denver. Upon launch, the crew is killed and the ship scuttled. The govt will not respond since it cannot confirm the source of the missile. Even though it is sure it was sourced from North Korea, it just does not have the balls to respond in kind. Meanwhile, the west coast is in turmoil and the impact drags the rest of the country into a severe depression. Things spiral down from there. Ok, this scenario is not too likely. Although an EMP blast is the best way of taking the US down, I just don't think there is enough skill out there to pull it off.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The Cap & Trade bill passes, increasing the taxes on energy used in every home and business in America. Home utility bills double, at least. People cannot afford to heat their homes. People cannot afford to put gas in their cars. Businesses close up operations and move their companies overseas. The Cap & Trade bill imposes cumbersome regulations on people trying to sell their homes, forcing them to abide by the strict and expensive standards of the bankrupt state of California. A person selling their home will have to first get approval from a team of government agents, who will come in and make sure you have the right doors, windows, trim, insulation, wiring, etc, etc. And if you don't you will have to pay to upgrade all those things, making your home more expensive to buy and more unlikely to sell. Everything in the stores becomes grossly overpriced due to the energy taxes it took to make them and ship them there. Most American industries will die off along with many starving, freezing Americans. Who needs science fiction scenarios when a bill like this just passed in the House of Representatives??
