SHTF Scenarios

Day/nightmares continued: Economy worstens, people starve, violent riots happen, government orders the surrender of all firearms to suppress riots, people resist and war breaks out starting in small towns where local officials are overcome by citizens and eventually join the resistance. US military being tied up overseas in X number of countries that hate us, go AWAL by the thousands and return home to protect their families. Remaining military faithful to the gov. are insufficient in numbers to continue war on terror and are reassigned to battle "american insurgence", but are unable to suppress the rioting and resistence. Anarchy takes over as government ceases to exist. Families hunker down together and combine efforts to protect themselves and survive. Millions are killed and left to rot where they lie, causing REAL pandemic spread of plagues. Meanwhile, terrorists swarm to the mainland and begin their assault on americans (whats left) and battles ensue all across the land, all the while plagues reek havoc all over the world.

A strain of the Flue virus hits the U.S. then the world, it has a 1% survival rate.

It has been predicted that every strain gets more resistant and becoming more deadly.

Most of the other scenarios listed have become books and popular stories.

MY SHTF SCENERIO

Any one of these things could set it off.
INGO connection goes down, I lose my INGO Tacticool hat, INGO MODS turn to ZOOMBIES (I think a couple may all ready be there), ATM goes CC deep cover, SavageEalge is promoted to MOD CZAR, Flashlights are on the new AWB, and Bacon is taxed.

Funny, but I was going to say that I was talking about threats that are put in place by foreign governments but realized that your point is still valid with that condition.
