![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Mobile Survival Okay, well lets see how this pans out- say SHTF, and you have to go mobile for whatever reason. Do you have a dedicated "Get out of dodge" bag, box, storage case of needed items to take you and your family? How many days could you survive before your food/water depreciates? I know unless your bugging out in a U-hual space will be limited. For those who own "a boat load" of firearms, are you packing them all, or just taking the most important? I have been waying my options on if certain firearms should be sold/kept/traded so that specific ones could easliy be taken in case such a scenerio presents itself. Without leaving items behind. I actually have a "buddy" (he use to buy alot of firearms) who has taken his whole entire collection and consolidated it down so he has only a dragbag which he can just grab and hit the road. Its all good, he is single-now he sports (1) long gun, (1) 12g., (2) pistols. So here are some questions: Mobile Survival 1. How much gear do you pack? 2. How many firearms/ammo can you take? 3. Food and water for how many days? 4. Do you have a designated location to travel to? 5. Fuel-can you refuel? 6. Do you do it alone, or meet up with family, friends? How do you actually prepare to be on the road/mobile for a long period of time, with a family? Is It Possible?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My BOB is all I really need. Bug out locations (2) are stocked and ready. That being said, if I have time I am jamming as much long term food, and ammo as I can in the veh. I have 25 gallons of fuel stored at all times.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm kinda following your friend's lead , 1 rifle , pistol and 12G . I've got a large ruck I'm using to slowly get my sorry butt back into marching shape . I know someone who owns some land in Cloverdale and would head there first . I believe that we'll have to stay mobile so I'm not stockpiling supplies . MRE's , a tent / fartsack , H2O purification , fire starters , standard GI type loadout . |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have a plan/gear when it comes to myself, whats really making me think is that what if I am seperated from the wife/kids? Seperate bug out bags? Also, I need to plan on taking enough supplies/gear to keep my kids safe/warm/fed.

| wheelman for hire ![]() | I'm mostly planning to be able to stay here at the farm if SHTF, or at least very close by, probably in a woods, or someone's basement. As soon as my parents get back from Seattle I'll have my BOB back and will prob change a few things out in it compared to what I had in it for them. I'm also thinking about setting up my old framed camping pack and getting it ready just in case as well since it can hold a lot more including a sleeping bag and tent. Unless a nuke hits as close as Anderson, Marion, or Muncie we should be good with staying here at the farm. Those are all 15-20 miles away and should only really have to worry about fallout of anything further.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | +1 As for mobile with weapons, for years I have used a Blackhawk 3 gun bag. Shooters at FNS see me with one over my shoulder. I practice with my real world stuff. In it goes a light weight AR, "light Weight" 870, Glock, 1 sling, ammo belt for 12 gauge, AR mags and Glock mags. Extra ammo. Pistol holder is held with velcro and can be used in my 511 vest as well. If situation calls for it, 2 AR's and no shotgun. I use this rig for deer season in KY, any and all camping and road trips.
