![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | storing rainwater I've seen several ideas on this subject. I have to put new gutters on my metal roof barn and was just getting into it as a water storage system My old cistern failed so it is out of the picture. Anyone have a system like this? There are several ways to purge the dirty water before it goes into the tank. Some look like they work, others are just funny. Picture a 1,000 gallon tank with a hand pump or a small jockey pump set up. Water wil come from the roof and have some type of filter on it to get the larger solids. The tank will be underground, similar to a roto mold septic tank.
