B.O.B. test

there has been some talk on and off about putting your money where your mouth is and seeing if you have what it takes to survive with only your bug out bag. well thats exactly what this thread is for getting a suitable time and place to see if you really properly prepared or are up a creek. my preferred location is hoosier national forest, time is what we need to figure out. my original plan was to have my wife drop me off and pick me up the next day with only my b.o.b. and it's contents to keep me company. thoughts, questions, or suggestions? oh and I plan on building one or two field expedient shelters while I'm out there to knock the rust off my skills.

If this is an open invite and I could go, I would have an extra kayak and an Old Town 158 in addition to my own kayak. If I have to work, I could still probablly lend them out.

Sounds like a great exercise. If I was 20 years younger. As it is, at 70, my bag is a GHB (Get home bag)

A big thing for me is to figure 3-4 days for a 30 mile walk and making sure my bag has that much meds in it.

I would like to go out and test my skills, but there isn't really a place where I can in Fort Wayne. I'd also like to make it at least a week and have supplies for even more. I'd also most likely take over a home or building when SHTF since It could be vacant.
