Many scenarios there, I'm not sure one rule works for all. Cities may be bad, 'burbs may be different. Remember the footage of the sheeples trying to leave Texas ahead of the hurricane, no food, no water, not enough fuel, roads blocked, no help available? Natural disaster or weather, I'm riding it out with food, water, shelter in my home, with my 4 kids under the age of 7. I cannot take the chance of maybe making it to plan B. We have generator and stocks here to ride out for a long time. What other scenarios are you considering? | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() | I do have family close but none of them are prepping and think I'm nuts . If I can't get where I want to go , I guess I'll fare better with the nazis . Kinda like going to prison , if ya don't join some gang then your fair game for all of them .

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If I knew I had 8 hours, really knew I could make the place safely, I'm ready to bug, so is the diesel or suburban. But that first 2-5 days, we may be safer in house arrest until the crowds reduce and make it out to Jack Ryans place to eat turkey and apple pie. (just kidding pal) All I'm saying is, there may be times to bug, there may be times to sit. |

![]() | I live on the edge of a good sized city. I plan to stay home with my wife, baby and dog. We have food, water & shelter. We don't have a wood burning fireplace and if it gets too cold & nasty we have a plan B place to go to, to bug out to. My plans are to make sure we can exist at home as much as possible before having to leave. |
