That canned bacon doesn't look too bad. I think it works out to around $3/lb, which is cheaper than supermarket bacon. Would be nice to take camping or for long-term storage. Too bad you can't reseal the can, though. I don't know if I could go through a whole can before it went bad.

Anyone tried this stuff recently? What's it taste like?

It's a bacon thing. You wouldn't understand.

It's supposed to be pretty good from reports on other sites. It does bug me that it's only am 9oz. can. The old Celebrity brand that I saw in K-mart until the late '90's was a 16oz. can for somthing like $2.50 when raw bacon was about $.99 a pound.

It comes to $1 per ounce, plus shipping. Isn't SPAM cheaper? It IS the other salty pork meat.

BTW, this bacon has a shelf life of >10 years, spam.com says "in perfect conditions, and as long as air doesn't get to it, it could last forever" or something like that. (I do have SPAM in my preps)

Spam's not bad. It's a little salty, but I've never had a problem with it.

Actually, Spam is pretty good. (I like salt) Treet is cheaper, but kind of bland.

You can now buy spam with bacon.... the best of both worlds.
If only they made spam with chocolate....hummmmm chocolate.
