HUGE windows No basement In the woods... therefore lots of cover for invaders Lots of hills and valleys...therefore lots of cover for invaders Only me and the wife able to defend (plus a 9 year old) Positives: In the woods... therefore lots of cover for defenders Lots of hills and valleys...therefore lots of cover for defenders In the country...1/2 hour from the city dwellers that will be foraging Plenty of firepower on site. Well armed neighbors. ![]() Overall I would rate my place POOR How do you rate? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Name and address please .The only good thing about my house is that I can barely get my old, small, crappy windows open when they're unlatched and I'm inside. Good luck getting in without killing yourself ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | mine is poor. Ranch, no basement, trees, 15 minutes from city slickers on a main road, lots of windows, and just 3 people that can defend (plus 2 small children), I do have 2 large dogs (one is a 165 lbs Mastiff, that if nothing else would could eat off him for about a year ). But I do have 1 well armed neighbor close by.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I live in an apartment in fairly populated town. Has a basement. Too many ground level windows, neighbors nearby. Rating: VERY POOR. Alternatively, my folks place is 20 minutes away. Located in a less populated place in the woods, with 6 acres on a dead end road. More storage room, more family members to help out. No basement, and also has too many big windows. Not very well armed. Rating: POOR.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The bad.. ground floor apt., 25 mins from 38th and Crack, NO neighbors with guns(that I know of and I know 10), right off a State highway. The good...Hancock Co.(need I say more?) just the wife and me, SWAT team LEO nephew lives 2miles away(but he might be busy, if it's that bad), apts. are mostly brick, Small town has big police force for it's size, lots of places to loot before THEY get here, and finally many co. roads to escape if necessary.Rated fair, being this close to Indy

![]() | Most houses will rate as poor. This place has too many doors and windows to cover. No basement. In a small town (good), surrounded by cover (not good). As with most houses, the average high powered rifle would shoot completely thru this place more times than not. Watch a police shootout on the news with a gunman holed up in a house. They basically just riddle the place with rifle fire until they get their man. Remember the saying : .30 cal., turning cover into concealment since 1906. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've got choke points that would work to my advantage, and I've also installed x10 lighting and I can turn on and off lights all over the house with the remote in the bedroom. I've also thought through this, I keep a couple sheets of plywood in the barn so if there is a Zombie attack and can hole up in the basement and use the plywood to control access to the basement. with just a few sheets I could wall off the whole house and go out from the dormers to the roof and pick off zombies from the roof.
