alot of lazy, and a little crazy=me

But really, and I hate sounding super manly and use an old saying, but if you think it is time to bury your guns, then it time to use them.

I know, I know, it does sound a bit gungho, but it is the way I feel.

I used to think that way, then look at Katrina...

Is the right answer when the local police start gathering guns to start shooting? I don't like that that happened, but I don't think the answer is to turn to arms in that situation either.

So, I now have plans in place that if I could not bring guns or I had to turn them in for some reason, I have a backup plan and even a backup to the backup.

Gun, magazines, and ammo!

Don't decide after the crisis that you need one, then it is too late! Also, to be clear I don't have any guns buried. I have oh say at least one packed as described in say oh one or more locations where I could get them if needed.

Have parents, have a sibling, have a hunting camp, have a good friend or other relative?

You get the point.

I can agree with a bit of that Quarterbore, but your Katrina example I disagree with. There was zero reason for disarming folks.

Oh I agree, and I never thought I would see that in this country but it sure as hell did happen. It reminded me of Nazi germany with the storm troopers comming in and stoping people at the road blocks and going door to door collecting guns.

Anybody that thinks it would never happen here had best look at what happened and plan accordingly. It can happen and it DID HAPPEN and it happened in this country where we have something called a Bill Of Rights.

My point above is just that, you can be disarmed and if you preparations assume you will not be, then you may well find yourself grossly unprepared when it does happen and you need that gun to survive!

And if I may be so bold to quote one of my previous posts,

OK, here is a reference to what I was refering to. This is video about Hurrican Katrina and the disarming the average citizen

Multimedia

Watch it, think about it, and watch it again.

Then think about just what you would do!
