Louis was an incredible teacher and I'm glad that I was able to meet him and learn from him. His legacy will certainly continue on with his students.

I thought so too at first when I heard the cause. But something seems almost poetic about it, given what I know of Mr. Awerbuck, his style, and the life he lived. Seppuku perhaps?

Oh, I agree completely. It's tragic that we've lost him, but it seems he went out on his own terms like a warrior. I can definitely understand making that choice rather than just waiting around.

Glad I got to train with him last year. He will be sorely missed.

Oh, **** all. Never was able to take a class with him, but I love his videos and his presentation style. Very calm and matter of fact. These kinds of men are dropping left and right these days. Valhalla is welcoming him tonight, I am sure!

Although, I'm likely biased as Awerbuck addresses the 'issue' I've cited in a few other threads, taking instruction from someone who has 'been there / done that' vs. someone who's only ever worked 'in theory'.

Still, a good read and insight into Lou's 'gunfight philosophy'.
