My 100th post - Free training

Well, it looks like I finally made it to 100 posts. Not a huge accomplishment compared to some of you post whores but......

To celebrate this milestone, I would like to give away a free Tactical Response Fighting Pistol class to a member here.
The class will be the June 19, 20 Fighting Pistol class in Camden, Tennessee. THIS IS A THURSDAY AND FRIDAY CLASS. Before you enter, please make sure you can and will attend on those dates. I want someone to win who is actually going to take the training. Camden is about a 6.5 hour drive from downtown Indianapolis. And as a reminder, lodging is provided free in our Team Room in Camden so your costs would be travel, ammo and food.

So, here are the rules:

1. You must have at least 25 posts to enter.
2. You will post a paragraph or two describing your motivation to take some pistol training.
3. Fenway will be the official judge and select the winner on Wednesday May 13th.
4. After the class you need to post an honest review (the good, bad and ugly) here on INGO.

That's it.

Who wants a free class?

Wow. Very cool offer from Shay and Tactical Response. Someone step up and take this. I took the class a couple of years ago and it was excellent.

Who wants it?

I have work travel at that time. Bummer. What a great offer.

Would this class be appropriate for a novice?

I was wondering the same thing.

I also need to check with my boss to see if I could get that week off (big shipments coming those days).

And, May 13 is a Tuesday.

And do you want the "applications" posted in this thread or as a PM to Fenway and Shay?

After reading the description of the course for the sixteenth time (Tactical Response), I would really like to take this class. I do feel a little underqualified since I'm still so new to shooting in general. However, it is because of this newness that I would like to take this class. I have found that the more opportunities I give myself to learn, the more enthusiastic I become about learning even more. Besides shooting as a sport, I recognize that it provides excellent self-defense when utilized with the proper amount of knowledge, respect, and discipline. The best way to increase those three qualities is to take more and more training.

This class in particular interests me because I really would like to learn more about real-world scenarios. I know I have a lot of things I need to work on to improve my basics, but this class would take those fundamentals and apply them to more real-world scenarios than shooting at a paper target does. I'm glad to see this course spends a lot of time on legal issues, tactics, and mindset training as well as spending plenty of time on the range, because I can benefit greatly from all of those opportunities.

Thank you for your consideration.
