| pistol accuracy training? I just went outside, setup a target, and did some practice with 3 of my pistols. My taurus 709 which this is my first time shooting more than a mag through it, I put 100 rounds through it. My Springfield 1911 mil spec, and my springfield 1911 loaded V12. I was shooting at around 10 yards or so, and it took me a good while to where I was getting all my shots on paper with the 709, but by the end was getting relatively consistant. Still need more practice. Grabbed the mil spec, which is my carry. All shots on paper no prob, but not grouped real well either, I'd say all in about 8" or so. Then pull out the V12. 2 mags all shots within 4" or under right where I wanted them to go. Now granted I know the V12 is a much more accurately build pistol. But due to a occasional jam issue I won't carry it. I've been shooting a long time, but haven't been practicing as much lately due to ammo costs. Esp with 45 being hard to find at decent prices.
Question is, what class would some of you recommend to learn more and work more on more accurate shooting for pistols? Mostly defensive style shooting. I used to do better, but I think lack of practice and I"ve gotten worse. I know there's more I can learn and I wanna know where I can learn it.
