Hey if you want, when you get back, maybe we could attend a course together. Most of the places said that if possible, they recommend that attendees try to come in teams of two.

Also consider the Badlands in Oklahoma and Tiger Valley (TJ Pilling's place) in Texas.

Badlands is a very good class to take. I took the long range course, then the Sniper I course back to back. Yes, and it is very nice if you buddy up and go. I know a few I took the class with were assigned to someone they didn't know. The Badlands show you shooter/spotter skills. It's also nice that one of the instructors was a Vietnam Marine Scout/Sniper. I'll get a picture up of their range to show you.

Do some reading on the 338 Edge that he builds. 300 gr .338 SMK @ 2800 fps.

I dont think so, the round count is only around 140, and its only a 2 day course. Plus its $400. Thats not alot of shooting time for that price. Most schools, you will have a day in the classroom, and 2 days to to practice what you learned.

Round count is not one of my criteria for judging the value of a class, unless it's so high that it's obviously more about making noise than about learning.

How many rounds should be fired in a precision rifle class? How many could be fired if you're logging each shot in a notebook and trying to make each and every round a useful learning experience?

I also prefer a two-day format. It's a lot easier for people to get two days away from their real life than three.
