Ryan, I go every couple of months to each state's official page and check it out. CCW Concealed Carry Laws by State should have up to date info also.

Check out the page above ref: Utah Concealed carry permit that (I think) Hiram Abiff posted.

If I recall, he said it's $150, but he does discounts for national organization memberships like NRA, GOA, JPFO, etc. There may be others, but I'll leave that to him to explain the day of the class. (That is, I'm not going to tell anyone that the cost is less than what he posts-if he wants to discount it, that's his place, not mine. )

Blessings,
B

How much of a discount for these organization memberships?

What about proposing a discount for an all INGO member group also? Selling point being that promotion of their future business will take place by posts and, or reviews on this board.
Strength in numbers people. We should use it to our advantage.

I usually offer a discount of $25 for membership in a pro gun organization.

I also bring copies of "Indiana Handgun Law" by Bryan Ciyou. Bryan sells them for $25 & that is what I sell them for, as well. I think they are a good reference to have & I don't make anything on them. Just FYI in case anyone wanted one.

OK folks, here's where we stand:

Fourteen people here have expressed clear interest and two or three others have posted on this but not clearly said they were interested. I have two others (at present) who aren't (to my knowledge) on INGO.
This means we will be doing a class.
Now the question is "where?" Evan has a hotel meeting room booked that will hold at most 25 people, but even with the hotel manager cutting him a deal, there's still some out-of-pocket expense that I'd like to avoid if we can. If not, he and I will cover the room cost.

In mid-July, for a four-hour, classroom-only class, I think our minimum requirements are that it be inside, have seating, and that it be air-conditioned.

Anyone know a place like that that would be available that day?

Blessings,
B

July 19th, huh?

Hmmm... The UT non-resident class is QUITE appealing! Especially considering that several of my future in-laws live in Ohio...

But, fortunately or unfortunately, I have plans that day.

You see, July 19th is when those future in-laws BECOME the in-laws.

Our weddin' isn't until 4:30, but even if the class were over at noon, I can guarantee that I'd be a "little" pre-occupied and not be able to pay attention. hehe

If it helps anyone decide on a venue, the hotel is the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Greenwood, Indiana. Its right next to I-65 off the County Line Road exit (#101). We're approximately 10 minutes south of downtown Indy.

Here's a crappy picture to show you what it looks like:
