thanks to techres for hooking me up and hawkhvn and the other instructors. it was hot the first day and a little rain the second day but good shooting weather all over all. if you have never been to an appleseed shoot by all means go. you will learn about our countrys history as well as rifle shooting and the instructors are very dedicated and will teach you all they can. it doesnt matter if you are new to shooting or been shooting all your life you will learn there. if anybody has any questions about my experience there feel free to email me or send a message. btw its a long two days and worth every minute of it.

i didnt get any pics i was too busy shooting and come to think of it i didnt see a camera all weekend but that doesnt mean there wasnt one there ill do some asking around.

I too had a great time! Yes we were too busy shooting to take pictures. It was probably the best shooting instruction I have ever had. I have had my share and given a lot as well after 11 years in the Army. But this is totally different type of shooting. I learned a lot of new stuff and seen how it works if you give it the chance. Saturday we were on the range from 9:00am and I left at 7:15pm sunday started at the same time and I had to leave early for a family engagement. I am extreemly sore today after getting in the proper shooting positions and shooting all weekend. Money and time well spent!!! I will be going back again. I had planned the Knob Creek event in Oct but it looks like I will be going to TN in September if all goes as planned. I have to have that dang marksman badge before I quit!

Thanks to all that volunteered their time and use of some weapons USAFE7ret. These people really want you to learn and do the very best that you can do. If you have never done it it is a must do if you enjoy shooting.

I don't know who had more fun.... the students or the instructors!

From the Instructor side, a GREAT BIG THANKS to all who came out to learn the steps to becoming a rifleman and to be challenged to become an active citizen in the affairs of this nation as our Forefathers were.

We are working more shoots for Indiana, so check often on our schedule at appleseedinfo.org

Thanks to everyone that came out! Neocon, I just checked the Appleseed Instructors Board and you really want to make that Puryear shoot. One it is a great range (George's home range) and the Shoot Boss is great to work with. No offense to George and The Guy, but 'now for something completely different'!

BTW, you don't get to quit, just ask USAFE7RET...

Yes I believe I worded that wrong now that I think about it. I have to get that dang illusive Rifleman badge before I do anything else.
I have been reading a lot on the RWVA site usually over an hour every night. I will say it is turning me into more of a "Thinking man"! I have Paul Revere's ride on order so I can read even more. I also have been telling everyone about the good times and great training last weekend. After I get the badge I will see about becoming more involved.

Sorry you missed a great shoot, very high instructor to shooter ratio to boot.
The good news is that we'll be back in October and there are multiple dates upcoming in KY and IN.
