Henk Iverson, Strike Tactical Solutions in Northern Indiana

I hope no one minds me posting a course soon after I joined, but it's coming up quick, and I want to give you all every opportunity to get in. Due to his military training contracts, this is one of the few open enrollment classes Henk will be able to do this year, you don't want to miss it.

2-Day Combat Carbine
Henk Iverson
Strike Tactical Solutions (www.striketactical.com)
In this dynamic training course we will teach you how to FIGHT with the urban rifle. On the range we teach tactics and techniques to save your life in a CQB environment. An intense training program for the serious student.

Description:
The carbine market is dominated by the AR15 system. Strike Tactical Solutions has designed a training program for the serious student, where we teach fighting tactics and techniques. In this class we teach every operator combat survival shooting with the carbine system.

Details:
Date: 7/26 – 7/27 (16 hrs over 2 days)
Location: Nappanee Conservation Club, Nappanee Indiana
Cost: $475
Ammunition: 800 rounds rifle / 100 rounds pistol

Prerequisites:
In order to qualify for this training class, students must have successfully completed a basic carbine operations course.
For example: NEMRT (JEFF CHUDWIN) - Patrol Rifle Operators School, PAUL HOWE - Rifle Operators School, JOHN FARNAM - Shotgun / Rifle I, DRTG – Intro to Defensive Carbine

Important Notice:
This class is a DYNAMIC carbine class, with CQB use as the main focus. We do things DIFFERENT from others so students need to be READY for two hard days of training. We teach FIGHTING and NOT shooting. Students need to be shooters BEFORE they attend our classes. Six inch grouping, 40 meters, 10 rounds within 10 seconds - STANDING off hand, is a good guide. Although our terminology might look the same as other trainers and schools, please note that we teach DEFENSIVE SHOOTING skills used under DURESS. All tactics and techniques taught, from Levels 1 - 3, are reality based and street proven.

Some of the Curriculum:
Safety Lecture
The AR15 Rifle
Ammunition Selection
Sighting in for defensive Function
Electronic sights and accessories
Rifle marksmanship under Duress
Firearm Manipulation under Duress
Correct mounting of the rifle for DEFENSIVE SHOOTING
Use of the AR15 type sights
Trigger manipulation under Duress
Emergency Gunfight Shooting positions
Stoppage reduction under Duress
Sustainability under Duress
Multiple Target Engagement
Close Quarters Battle Shooting Techniques
Physical maintenance of the rifle system under fighting conditions.
Transition to secondary weapons

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Tinman....

I highly recommend Henk Iverson, if you have the means and opportunity to attend this class consider it money well spent.

Also, be advised, Henk will work you pretty hard and you won't be stopping for a lunch break, you will need to hydrate and snack when your loading mags.

Ah, a SECOND non-military/LEO class from Henk ... it's a good day.

Tinman ... do you mind if people not enrolled in the class come to try to pass the qualification if it does not interrupt your schedule?

I agree!

Indiana needs more quality training opportunities. Posting upcoming training classes fits perfectly with the purpose of this forum.

It sounds like a great opportunity, but I don't think that I would pass this test.

E ... I wouldn't pass on this class because you're not confident with your marksmanship (yet). You do have some time to practice ...

Here's the thing. I've been in classes where the instructors make a big deal about how their class isn't about shooting it's about "fighting." I know of many others who make similar claims and I am familiar in varying degrees with their curricula. When Henk says he's teaching you about fighting, it's not hyperbole and it's not just the use of the currently popular buzzword. Even if you don't pass his qualification at the end, you WILL be better equipped to defend yourself and your family.

The accuracy demands are stringent during the class (you'll shoot at playing cards and 4x6 inch index cards at contact back to 25 yards), but that kind of accuracy is necessary (or at least very helpful) for ending a violent conflict as efficiently as possible. One of the first things Henk will ask you is "how many shots will you get in a real fight?"

You'll do a lot of moving ... if you're not shooting, you'll be moving. Yeah, even I had to me moving like a shark all the time! Henk does not stress moving WHILE shooting, but rather moving as quickly as possible off of the line of attack while bringing your weapon to bear. As soon as you have your sights on the threat, you stop long enough to fire as many rounds as you need to fire, then you are moving again. You move while you do anything other than shooting, whether it's reload, fix a malfunction, scan for other threats, whatever. If you've been to a class with John Farnam or any of his instructors, you'll be familiar with the movement.

Don't miss this opportunity, as who knows when it will happen again (Henk has some big contracts that eat all of his time). This will definitely be your only chance this year.

i'm with rhino and big craig in endorsing henk's classes. this will not be a feel good class by any means. take plenty of water, carb up and stretch. you'll need it. if you want to learn to fight a rifle, henk's class should be on your short list.

and i too would like to know if we can drop by and shoot the qualification. we were so whupped at the end of a two day class, i had a spot of trouble with both guns. dropped one shot with each.
