![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would be if I had a decent place to hunt. I hunted turkey in Texas and loved it, just don't know anyone with land and I gave up hunting public land years ago.

![]() | Turkey hunter in Training checking in. Been a couple of times called to them had an answer and coming in then nothing. so try try again. i was on list for atterburry but now have to find another place since they got canceled this year. Taking the kids again this year, it is a blast to see their faces when the birds answer. Just got a new ground blind hoping that it helps. Remember Take a child hunting and you wont have to hunt for the child. Later, John |

| Marksman | I'm still in training too..I've been hunting turkeys for about 5 yrs. I finally got my first one last season (19-3/4 lbs). Not bad for my first huh? I know what you mean about the kids. I have a 9yr old grand daughter who is gettin into shooting and hunting. She's a good turkey caller. Bought her a .22 this yr and she shot her first squirrel. She was a happy camper and i was a proud grandpa. |
