I am amazed he was acquitted...

Scutter and I watched this on some TV show that was on last week. We listened to the 911 call.

I have to say, and I won't speak for scutter, but I am completely surprised that he was acquitted of this. It wasn't his house that was being robbed. His house at this point was no where being threatened and he was safe inside his home and no person was in danger either. The 911 operators told him not to go outside but he did anyway. He ended up shooting the guys in the back because they did come on his property (I think it was after he stepped outside). I'm just amazed he was acquitted. I don't think it was racially motivated as the civil rights activists obviously believe but I am still shocked.

Awesome!

I remember hearing about this story back when it happened...I never thought he would get acquitted either.

obviously I don't know all the details to the story, but I always thought he might get off. Something told me that if 2 guys charge an old man that is wielding a shotgun, they must feel that they could overtake him. In light of that fact, he would be somewhat "justified" in the shoot. Disparity of force, opportunity, motive, etc, etc... Just my not-so-humble .

on two dead dirtbags, but the guy never should have left his house. There was no reason to put himself in harm's way and escalate the situation. Stuff can be replaced.

If we only had that attitude everywhere, there would be a lot less scumbags and a lot less theft.

Great that scumbags are off the street but he was not in danger and shot them in the back. The tape is ridiculous.

I don't understand why anybody played that card. Did no one else read that the neighbor was Vietnamese?
