Well you can't always go with what a polygraph says, It seems I read at one time that many of the countries in Europe don't use them because of too many problems with them. A lot of the results depends on how the questions are worded and on the operator.

Years ago, a polygraph was the final step in a job interview process I was involved in. The operator was having a bad day (Monday) to the point of actually getting angry with me for not following "his instructions" to intentionally lie to determine levels. Imagine how rattled you'd be going through the rest of the test with an operator angry enough to have raised his voice. Needless to say, I went out of contention for the position.

It's my understanding that the operator determines your innocence or guilt, truth or deception based upon the machine readings but 2 different operators can read the results differently so it is left to the operators discretion. If the operator believes that you are innocent or truthful then the results will coincide thus why they are inadmissible in court as a basis of fact. Many Polygraph operators will dispute this but it is what thought to be common knowledge of many. An accomplished liar or sociopath will pass polys without any problem :rolleyesedit: Scary huh

Isn't it time that we leave these poor working girls alone. Up in Elkhart the Mayor took 4 LEOs off the drug task force to police the streets. So now they are chasing hookers rather than drug dealers... that seems to be a poor placement of priorities if you ask me.

Actually, I think it ALL depends on how the questions are worded and on the operator (not in that order). It's still more of an art form than a science.
