Gryphon is on a distinguished road
Exclusive gated communities are for yuppies who are willing to sacrifice their rights as long as they aren't burdened with home maintenance chores that they not only consider demeaning, but interfere with the time they spend worshiping that deified ladder to worldly success... After all, he who collects the most toys before they die wins the game of life, right?

BTW, so-called village communities can prohibit the private ownership of firearms as well as anything else they deem aesthetically offensive.

If you don't want to play by their rules, then don't join ranks with them.

Personally, I don't care what kind of vehicle my neighbors drive as long they have mufflers that actually work on them... But then, I reside in a modest home located in the historically first subdivision of Terrible Haute. It's still relatively quiet, attractive, and scumbag free.

The article about the guy with the truck didn't say anything about it being "exclusive" or even "gated" it might just be a regular community with nicer than average homes.

FWIW, I don't believe that a so-called village community can ban private ownership of firearms. Especially now that the SCOTUS has ruled that the government can't do that. The SCOTUS has previously ruled that you cannot be prevented from giving up your rights in other amendments, not sure how a private community could ever enforce such a rule and if challenged I'd bet it would be easily overturned.

But I wouldn't want to live in one that had it on the books, even though it could be overturned. Just seems like a big "ROB ME!" sign for the neighborhood.
