| Thing that races through my mind is, what is causing such a build up of water, then violent release (keep a clean mind here guys  ) ? That was wild!

We were never there when it happened, but from what we were told, when it would storm up in the mountains, it would create flash-flood conditions along the river. When that happened, you could get a sudden wall of water 3-4 feet high shooting down the river. The riverbank was around 8 feet high, but they'd have to yank campers and tents off the bank because it would flood almost instantly. The park rangers would be racing around to all the camping areas to make sure everyone knew that flash-flooding may be imminent. That much water hits a choke point (like a drainage tunnel) all at once and you're gonna see exactly what you saw in the video.

| Yep...too much water all of a sudden in the storm sewer system for this certain spot to handle. Cool stuff, water under pressure.  -J-

| I feel sorry for that truck. But had I seen a mountain of water shooting up like the movie Volcano, I'd probably STOP and not go through it. Also, all that guy needed was some soap and he'd been a-ok! Oh yea, and a clean pair of whitey-tighty's might help too!
