OK, guys, let's think this through, shall we? Drug dealers make lots of money by selling drugs. Typically, they are well-armed and have no respect for the law. This means that when they get scared, they're going to air-condition your bodies until they more resemble Swiss cheese in black cloth, and the fact that you had weapons on you will probably mean they won't be charged with your murder.

"They're not bad kids, they just made a mistake."
At 19, they're not "kids" at all, but adults, responsible for their choices. Wonder how hard it is to be a ninja in an orange jumpsuit?

Seriously, though, they were stupid, but stupidity is not a crime, and they didn't threaten anyone, so why were they busted? What this comes down to is a weapons charge. I'm betting NJ has laws regulating "dangerous" weapons-a contradiction in terms, since the weapon itself is no danger to anyone.
