If you disagree with a buck whitetail deer during the rut you will be in for a fight for your life. This scenario has happened many times over with others who kept deer as pets in a pen, the last such story I read a year ago or so ago the man died after being gored by his own buck.

I believe people think that if you can domesticate a cat or dog, you could domesticate anything. As we have seen over and over again, it just doesn't work.

Some deer owners will tranqualize their bucks and cut their antlers off prior to the rut kicking in. They can still kick the snot out of you.

A friend of mine that had "tame" deer always carried a good stick with him and NEVER turned his back on his bucks.
