Looking for place to ride

Hi, I am new to the area, and am Looking for place to ride my Kawasaki KX125 dirt bike, and possibly shoot as well. I have been to the Badlands in Attica, but is there anything closer. I came from a small town, where we all just went to our buddies house who lived in the country to do these type of things, but I guess the closer you get to a big city the fewer of these places you find. If anyone know of any place out there, let me know. thanks

Have you heard of Haspen Acres? Its in East Central Indiana. Pretty cool place.

+ 1 on haspen acres and its only 1/2 hour or so from my house. its in a small town called laurel. there "claim to fame" is a hill called devils backbone. not many dirt bikes make it to the top. its not even that steep but its extreamly long and covered in sheet rock. you defintally need no pick your path before starting up it. you will go on a path for 100 yds or so and all the sudden there is a rock wall and you cant back down or turn around. i havent been in 5 years or so but i hear they removed alot of the rock on that hill but there are plenty of others to play on.

It is our hope that you have a safe and enjoyable visit with us. We ask that you extend the same courtesy to the other visitors that you would expect from them. Also, we ask that you adhere to the following rules:

1. Helmets and safety equipment are required.
2. No riding after 9:00 PM or before 6:00 AM.
3. Speed limit is 15 MPH on all paved and gravel drives.
4. Maintain a 20-foot clear distance from all fences.
5. DO NOT CROSS ANY DOWNED FENCES!
6. No hunting at any time.
7. No firearms.
8. Fires are to be maintained at all times.
9. No fires in the shelters.
10. Do not cut standing trees.
11. No swimming in the pond.
12. Riding is not permitted on pond banks.
13. Buggies and/or trucks are not permitted on motocross tracks.
14. If you must leave the park for any reason, proof of entry must be shown at the front admission office before re-entering the park.
15. Campsite trash is to be placed in a garbage can before leaving the park.
16. Drunken or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated.
17. Children 14 years of age and younger are restricted to camping areas and must be under the supervision of an adult.
18. No one under 18 years of age will be permitted without a liability sheet signed by his or her parents or legal guardian.
19. No one is permitted inside the park without signing a liability waiver.

Haspin Acres management reserves the right to eject (without refund) any person or persons not adhering to the above stated rules.

When I use to go there the only rule I ever seen or heard of them enforcing is no swimming in the pond. It was usually a 24/7 riding and drunk fest. If you camped you had to be a heavy sleeper or just up partying with the rest of them til the sun comes up. Its been about 6 years so maybe thats changes.

Will all the drinking and partying that goes on at night, do you think they wouldn't post a no firearms sign? I am not saying its right, but I also tend to think that the sign isn't meant for people who've got some sense. Now, it is private property, so you may be inclined to not carry. Just don't get all pissy with these guys because of their sign. They have thousands of *******s on their property every year and they are just trying to get by.

depending on where ya live theres also the place on the monroe/ lawernce county border its ran by abate dont rember the name search abate. depending on where your at theres a few local spots.

Thanks to all, I live just outside of Indianapolis, so maybe I will check some of these places

Good call Payton. The place is called Redbud or Redbird. It's near Dugger. Pretty nice, but be advised that you have to have the state registration sticker to ride there. It's not huge, so may not be good for a whole weekend, but its great for a single day of riding.
