![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use Ruger MKII Targets with a 1.5 or 2x scope. I think out of the Box the MK III Hunters 's are the best base gun. No matter what gun you get, I think it should have target sights on it. A bull barrel but no need for 7" and up, 5.5 works fine for me. You should be able to hit golf balls and bottle tops at 25 yards with it. Practice practice practice before you scope it. It breeds confidence in yourself and the gun to make one shot kills. Low power scope helps cut down on the wobble factor, which can drive you nuts with a handgun, but if you find a rest, non-issue. Again practice. I have often thought a revolver with both 22lr and 22mag may be a good set up. 22mag with the scope, 22lr with open sights. |

![]() | I should say that I am also thinking this pistol would also serve as practice for shooting a 1911. Marvel arms makes a .22LR conversion kit that is highly accurate and I have thought of that too. Aging eye will probably require a low power scope, any suggestions there? |
