Well my dad makes me clean the fish and we all know little blue gills are a waste of time. We have always fished the beds and have never had problems. To each his own.

Why does everything turn into a debate on here, he went fishing who cares if the bluegill are bedding. vupd is a bad man for fishing the bedding bluegill shame shame shame.

I don't know or care if they were bedding. I simply decided to try some fishing in MY pond and I caught a bunch. If I catch 'em all, I'll just have the pond stocked again! FWIW, they were the first and only fish I have ever caught in that pond.

A good Samurai warrior would wake a man in bed and give him a chance to arm himself before he killed him. At least that is what they said in a movie I watched the other day...................oops wrong forum. We are talking fish here.

We could spend all year talking about fisheries management. Blah blah blah. The good news is Nick went fishing and didn't end up in the ER.

If you want to know where the next batch of walleye will be released in Indiana, just ask. I have my sources. I won't tell you but go ahead and ask anyway.

bluegills are done bedding in all of places i have been in the last two weeks

I took the kids fishing the other night, caught a nice mess. I use a live net to keep my catch in, at the end of the day we sometimes put back the bull males, to help keep good genes in the lake. The most important thing is the kids know how to find, catch, clean and cook what they keep.
