Yellow Wood lake in between Blomington and Martinsville,DNR does a trout release in a stream every spring.

As said earlier in this thread, the tailwaters of Brookville Reservoir are stocked with brook trout. I went down there 2 years ago with some friends and did some flyfishing for trout. It's not as good as flyfishing for trout in the western states but it will do for this area.

Does Indiana have any working hatcheries for trout and does anybody know of an actual stocking schedule

Cedar Lake is stocked with trout. Early summer seems to be the best time to go. Most people use the Berkley Power Bait Trout Dough in chartreuse.

The salmon are running, here's a link to the fish cam at the Berrien dam, they should be in Indiana now or shortly along the St. Joseph river.

it's actually excellent around here in Portage area. You got Deep River,Burns Ditch,Salt Creek,Little Cal,and others. We also get a few different runs a year.The Kings should be coming in 2/3 weeks.

I caught two rainbows out of the big walnut creek in parke county two years ago. They were very small but it was definitly a good suprise to have on the end of the rod.
