Squirrel, dove and geese are all in season!

I may go out dove hunting this weekend if I can find some time.

Squirrel and dove, if I can ever get out of this airport and get home. Wisconsin in two weeks for some whitetail and duck scouting. Early October to Illnois for ducks in the Mississippi, late October in Wisconsin for bow season. November starts with Iowa pheasant (and more ducks), then whitetail here, and then whitetail in Wisconsin over Thanksgiving. December is more duck/goose here, then back to Wisconsin for the blackpowder season, and maybe a late season pheasant run in South Dakota. January is goose/duck until season closes, and squirrel all the time. February and March are coyote, and the Snow goose killing session when the limits and plugs are out. By then, I'll need to clean some guns, reload shells, and prep for spring planting.

I just got home from a mildly successful day at the Slough. I shot 6 dove in an afternoons work. First day out this year, I am also planning on going this Saturday and possibly a day or two next week. In the mean time, I've got to get the pup ready for upland game season. Nick

Gonna take off tomorrow and try to do a little goose/dove/squirrel hunting at Atterbury.
