Possession limits

The question came up in another thread about whether or not game in the freezer counted toward "possession limits" or not.

Here's the answer I got from DNR:

Dear Mr. Williams,
Regarding first question, animals kept in a freezer may count towards the possession limit for a species. However, if there are no carcasses (no heads, no feathers, no hides, etc.), and only meat in the freezer, then there should not be a problem with having meat from additional animals that were legally taken in the freezer. However, you should check with your local conservation officer to see if there are additional concerns.
